She asked me to update this blog at my cousin Michelle's wedding. The wedding was nice. I had quite a bit of fun there and it was nice seeing some of my cousins again, especially the ones I rarely ever see. Food was really good too. I ordered the steak, and it definitely delivered. All in all though, it was a great time.

As far as Youtube goes, I'm on my break for Pokemon FireRed. Episode 53 was posted 2 weeks ago and I'll be reviewing games for a while until my counterpart has caught up in his Pokemon LeafGreen run. My next review is going to be Super Mario Bros. Crossover which is a flash game available on Newgrounds.com. I highly recommend giving it a play, fun times. The review should be up by Friday at the latest. Footage is captured, but it's just a matter of narrating, and if I can bring myself to actually go through narrating, then it should be up much sooner.

As far as music, today I'm listening to String Cheese Incident. I've mentioned them before, but I'm really taking a major liking into this band. I've added more of their songs into the playlist so by all means please check them out. I'm listening to the album Breathe, which primarily features Keller Williams, whom I also like. Lots of good jamming done on this album and if you're a fan of laid back music that jams out I highly recommend giving it a listen.

Well, this is the part of the blog that I suppose you may or may not care about as it pertains to wrestling, or is, at the very least, associated with it. First, in actual wrestling though, I'm loving the NXT Season 1 angle where they basically just run in and wreak all kinds of havoc on Monday Night Raw. Good stuff. Season 2 of NXT is turning out good, but I have a feeling I'll be loathing it soon enough once the "challenges" start showing up. Rey Mysterio is the World Heavyweight Champion as of the last pay-per-view, Fatal Four Way. What a way to completely derail Jack Swagger's push. I hope Swagger wins the title back soon because I really enjoyed his title reign. Sheamus won the WWE Championship at Fatal Four Way as well. I hope his second reign is a lot better than his first.

At first, I was extremely skeptical of the wrestling community when they said that Linda McMahon's Senate run is going to hurt the wrestling business, but I'm starting to think that there may be some merit to that claim. One of the major bits of news going around in the wrestling community is that Bryan Danielson (also known as Daniel Bryan) was let go from the WWE due to the first NXT invasion segment in which he choked out Justin Roberts, an announcer, with his neck tie. It's merely speculation, but there was word going around that her candidacy for Senate is responsible for him being fired. There have been other reasons too, but this one really pisses me off the most. The fact is, the man was fired for doing what he was scripted and told to do. He was fired for doing his job. Linda's whole message is that she is going to create more job opportunities, yet someone lost their job possibly because of her? That's not someone who deserves my vote. I'm not going to openly say that Linda is responsible for getting Danielson fired, but it seems like a likely scenario. Apparently some of Rob Simmons' representatives were in the crowd this past Monday night while Raw was in Bridgeport. They were apparently looking for dirt to use on Linda, which could very well explain the nonsensical apology segment that the NXT faction gave. They basically came out and said "yeah, we know what we're doing is totally wrong and terrible and we're sorry." It made no sense and it killed a lot of the momentum that this angle was building. Luckily they managed to salvage some momentum back later in the night when they attacked Cena again and took out Vince. Fact is though, had Linda not run for Senate, I'm sure things would be slightly different in the WWE right now. I don't necessarily full on blame Linda for it, as anyone has a right to run for office, for the most part, but because of her ties with the company, anything they do will have affect her campaign, and it's that association that will cause her to hurt the business.

Speaking of Linda and Vince, they're also getting sued by Martha Hart, Owen Hart's widow. The reason is because of Owen's likeness being used and referenced on WWE television. While I have sympathy for Martha for the loss of her husband, the fact of the matter is, Vince has every right to use Owen's footage for a dvd release. The timing is also rather suspicious due to the fact that it's election season and she all of a sudden is making a lawsuit about mentioning Owen. It seems like nothing more than a political stunt or wanting to get more money out of Vince (after the 18 million she already got out of him.) Owen Hart died after a very tragic accident 11 years ago at a pay per view called Over the Edge in which he fell during a stunt that would have him descend from the ceiling. It was very tragic. That aside, Owen deserves recognition for the wrestler he was, and Martha doesn't want us to remember Owen as a great wrestler. She doesn't want us to remember Owen at all. It seems like she wants to have him completely erased from our memory. I'm sorry Mrs. Hart, but we all loved Owen and respected him and what he did for the wrestling business. Owen would have been inducted into the Hall of Fame a long time ago had it not been for Martha Hart. Hold your grudge on Vince if you want, but don't deny the fans the right to acknowledge Owen for what he did within this business.

Anyway, that's all I can be bothered to talk about at this point and time. I hope you are happy Nikki, I actually bothered to post something new.

Game X Change is a nice change of pace.

So I just got home from this new store called Game X Change. Very good store. I'm officially 22 years old. So far things have been pretty quiet. I received a card with $30.00 in it, and I've been spending the day thus far watching episodes of Fist of the North Star. I got my check yesterday for $97.79 but I have to wait for it to clear before I can go spend that money, which means I obviously didn't get the SNES yesterday, but I'm kind of glad because now that I have extra money I can add to that and not have to spend as much.

In today's episode of Pokemon FireRed, we'll be celebrating my birthday by giving a beating to an old man. To be more specific, I'll be going after my 7th badge by taking on Blaine, the fire trainer. He's actually really easy if you come prepared, and he was probably the shortest gym fight I had since Brock or Misty. He really is that easy to beat.

I'll probably be watching Smackdown a little later, but I don't want to give any details on what will happen or anything like that. You'll see my full opinion tomorrow. I don't have much else to talk about, so until then, take care.

SNEStify me Captain!

So hopefully I should get my paycheck today after working last week. I work again this coming Saturday. I'm going to try and cash that check today and go to a store my step cousin told me about. Apparently they sell retro games and are even selling an SNES for $35.00. I plan to buy that if that's the case, but even if it's sold out, I can still buy other games while I'm there. My older brother is coming with me and we're probably going to grab a bite to eat while we're out. Hopefully things should go according to plan, but you know Murphy's Law. If anything bad can happen, it will. Hopefully it won't though.

Right now I'm transferring files from one hard drive to another. My main hard drive on this computer only had 3 gigs worth of space left, while I have another hard drive with a free 127 gigs, so I figure why not move my video files to that hard drive, freeing up about 52 gigs.

Expect the usual Pokemon FireRed episode today. I'll be going through the Pokemon Mansion. Luckily it's nowhere near as bad as I expected it to be. I used repels, which saved a lot of the aggravation. Usually the place is a pain in the ass to go through, but if you use a lot of repels and know where you're going, you should be fine. I'm contemplating doing a video response to someone for my DaveWrestlingReplies channel as well. A question was posed about Randy Orton being the next Stone Cold Steve Austin. I'd say that while he may not be exactly the same as Steve Austin was, the similarities are so obvious that anyone could see it. Besides, when Orton's time has come, we will look back and note that he was this generation's Steve Austin. I'll probably go into more detail though when I put it into video format.

Right now I'm listening to the song that plays during the Moon stage from Ducktales on the NES. Holy hell is this a good video game song. It's extremely catchy, and I recommend giving it a listen. Unlike other video game songs I really like, this one has a metric ton of remixes. Probably due to the fact that the game was made by Capcom, so of course people know it.

That's pretty much going to do it for this entry today. Nothing else for me to really talk about so until next time, take care.

What's this? Daniel Bryan is evolving!

So NXT was on last night. We start the show off with 2 eliminations, despite the fact that it's been advertised constantly that only 1 person would be eliminated tonight. Matt Striker walks up to Michael Tarver and replays a clip from last week's show where he said that Tarver himself should be eliminated so that the rest of the talent has a chance to win. Striker said that management felt that if he didn't want to be there then he shouldn't, and thus he was eliminated. To be perfectly honest, if you paid attention to the actual promo, Tarver said it in a way that basically says, "I'm better than all of you." He was showing confidence in himself, but I'm sure that WWE were just looking for an excuse to get him off of the show. Who knows, maybe he'll go to Raw and be Ted Dibiase's new Virgil. Next Striker goes up to Daniel Bryan who has also been eliminated for the same reason. Daniel Bryan however admitted that he hasn't won a single match on the show and that he shouldn't be there if he can't win. Needless to say I, as well as the rest of the internet wrestling community, raged hard. What kills me is they weren't eliminated by the pro's poll, which was supposably the only way to be eliminated. They were eliminated by management, making the pro's poll completely meaningless since management can fire them at any time. We then have a match between Wade Barrett and Heath Slater. Was a pretty generic match. Nothing fantastic, but nothing horrid. Barrett got the win when he caught Slater in mid-air and slammed him down with his finishing move, which is basically like a fireman's carry. After the match there is an interview backstage between Striker and Tarver. Tarver was asked if he felt the ruling was fair. He said the ruling was fair, but the competition wasn't. To be fair, he's kind of right. None of the "challenges" had anything to do with wrestling. They were more like nonsensical Double Dare ripoffs more than anything. Tarver also gave a bit of a speech about how no one knows what it's like to sleep in a car, or not knowing when your next meal is going to be, or even worse, not being able to tell your children that they'll have dinner that night. It was actually a good promo and made my sympathize with him. Like I said earlier, he's probably going to be the next Virgil. We then cut to a match between David Otunga and Justin Gabriel. To be perfectly honest, this match did nothing for me. It was nothing special at all. Otunga got the win. Whoopty do. There was also a match between Skip Sheffield and Darren Young. I don't remember if that was before or after Otunga's match but it makes no difference. This match wasn't much better either to be perfectly honest. Skip Sheffield got the win. Backstage Matt Striker is not interviewing Daniel Bryan who cut an excellent promo. Striker asked what Daniel Bryan is going to do next, he said he doesn't know. He said Daniel Bryan sucked. He said he knew a guy who was a champion in Mexico and Japan who kicked people's heads in and was considered the best in the world. He said he wasn't sure what Daniel Bryan will be up to, but he said that things have only just begun for Bryan Danielson, which is his real name. Needless to say the internet wrestling community, as well as myself, marked beyond normal capacity. I hope that Bryan Danielson comes in and is booked to be the next Chris Benoit. No, not a homicidal, suicidal maniac who kills his family after taking a ridiculous number of head bumps and steroids. I mean someone who is extremely intense and will fuck you up in the ring. After that interview, it's time for the pro's poll. Turns out Wade Barrett is in first place, which is fine by me since he was my second favorite on the show, and since "Daniel Bryan" is now gone, Wade will be a fine addition to WWE. All the rookies said that Otunga should be eliminated, but it turns out that he was in 2nd place according to the pro's poll. Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater were in 3rd and 4th respectively, and finally Darren Young was in 5th place. That meant that Skip Sheffield was in 6th place and forced to leave. Shame, I actually like Sheffield. That pretty much ended the show though. Overall, it was better than last week's show, and the week before, but overall, it was meh. To be honest, they haven't been able to top the first show.

In Youtube news, I made a new account for me to talk about wrestling. The channel is called DaveWrestlingReplies. I made an introduction video for that channel and just talk about my background as a wrestling fan as well as what that channel will be about. Pretty much it's designed for me to reply to other videos about professional wrestling and to share my opinion on various wrestling topics. There will also probably be other various bits of comedy and other things related to wrestling. I made the channel because I know a lot of my subscribers on my main channel aren't necessarily wrestling fans, and don't want wrestling on my channel. To be fair, I can't necessarily blame them, and I want to appease my audience as much as I can, so I made a seperate channel to do wrestling videos. I'll still favorite wrestling videos and stuff, but my main channel will no longer upload wrestling related content, unless it's a video game. There will also be a new episode of Pokemon FireRed today. We'll be leaving Seafoam Islands and heading toward Cinnabar island. Not sure exactly how far the episode will go though. I may be able to fit most of the Pokemon Mansion in, but probably not. Either way, we won't find out until I upload it.

Anyway, that's going to do it for today's blog. I have nothing else to really talk about, so until next time, take care.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://nonsensicalramblingsofd.blogspot.com/2010/05/whats-this-daniel-bryan-is-evolving.html' title='What's this? Anyway, Pokemon FireRed's episode for today has been edited. It was actually really easy to edit today's episode because it's 9 minutes of me trying to catch Articuno. Simple, but effective, and should make for a funny episode because I basically had to tear my hair out just trying to catch the damn thing. Now all that needs to be done is to narrate it. I'll probably end up screaming throughout the whole thing. I was watching the clip before and I definitely had to struggle to catch that damn bird. Like I said, should make for an all around entertaining episode.

As far as music for today, I'm currently listening to some Thin Lizzy. One of my favorite bands ever. I have quite a few tracks in the playlist, but to be perfectly honest, I recommend picking up any album you can find. I haven't listened to a Thin Lizzy song that I don't like. They're easily one of the most criminally underrated bands to ever hit the music scene. Shame Phil Lynott is dead. I definitely recommend giving them a listen though.

Monday Night Raw was on last night. Good show, but not as good as last week. There were definitely some bad/pointless moments, but overall I liked the show. Some of the highlights of this week's Raw were Carlito and Primo reuniting and beating down R-Truth, then taking a check by Ted Dibiase Jr., Flava Flav on commentary, William Regal performing his own rap, Randy Orton scaring the shit out of Vickie Guerrero getting her to leave the company, and Daniel Bryan finally getting a win on WWE TV. The worst part of the night was MeatLoaf interrupting Randy Orton's promo and trying to plug his new album. I like MeatLoaf and all, but I don't need him plugging his albums during my wrestling. At least he was kind enough to take an RKO. Overall though, Raw was good this week.

That's gonna do it for this entry. I have nothing else to talk about so until next time, take care.

Back to the future

To be perfectly clear, the title of this entry has nothing to do with the movie series. In fact, I don't think I've ever watched the movies in their entirety...ever. I probably should considering it's considered an American cinematic classic, but just never took the time to sit and watch them. I've been thinking about what's going to happen after I finish my Pokemon FireRed series. I'm definitely going to get back into reviewing games again. It's what got me where I am in regards to Youtube itself and people like it when I give some sort of analysis on a game. I've decided that it's time for me to have my own theme song for my video game reviews. Most prominent video game reviewers have some sort of introduction and theme song, and I figure I'm just as good at expressing my opinion about video games as any of them, so I should get my own song too. I had Dean remix a the music from level 9-8 of Donkey Kong for the Game Boy. I think he did a decent job given what he had to work with. I made a bit of a prototype introduction just to see how well it would work. I gotta say, I kind of dig it. I'm going to see if I can get my buddy Jimmy to have his band do a straight up arrangement for me, but if that can't be done, Dean's remix will definitely do. You can check that out here. Expect episode 35 to go up today for Pokemon FireRed. Yesterday I was just too lazy to edit and narrate, but today I won't leave you guys hanging, well, the two or three people who actually read this and watch that series. I admit that this blog doesn't necessarily get a lot of traffic or comments, despite my constant advertising of it up on Facebook. Maybe I'll start doing more advertising of it, this way it doesn't seem like I'm talking to myself.

In regards to music for today, I've been listening to Line in the Sand by Motörhead. I love that song. It's probably due to the fact that it was used as the theme of Evolution, a stable in the WWE back in 2002/2003/2004 consisting of Triple H, Ric Flair, Randy Orton, and Batista. That was an awesome stable, but Line in the Sand definitely made them seem a lot cooler. I unfortunately don't have it in the playlist, but if I ever consider editing it to take songs out, it's definitely a contender to be placed in.

That's pretty much going to do it for this entry. Until next time, take care.

Nothing important. Check it out. I somehow managed to make the thing sound normal. When we first recorded it, it had that audio problem of certain voices only coming out of one side of the speaker. Some voices came out of the left, while the others only came out of the right. I despise that, but was somehow able to fix it. According to James, this is probably our most entertaining episode to date. You'll have to find that out for yourselves.

Right now I'm listening to Deep Purple's rendition of the classic Beatles' song "Help!" Great version. It's nothing like the original, but I love it just the same. It has a far more laid back, trippy vibe going for it. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get it on the playlist, but if you have a chance to check out the Shades of Deep Purple album, I recommend doing so. Definitely one of the better covers I've heard from a band. When it comes to covers I generally like them sounding as close to the original as possible without being generic carbon copies, but sometimes a cover can be totally different and still sound amazing, and this is one of those examples. In the playlist I have the original version of Perfect Strangers by Deep Purple as well as a cover of it by Jorn. Also a great cover. It's a bit heavier, but keeps the main essence of the song and works just as well. Highly recommend giving that a listen as well.

In wrestling news, Smackdown was on last night. Not as strong of a show as last week, but still very enjoyable. To start the show off, Matt Hardy came out to cut a promo on Drew McIntyre, who's been constantly attacking him over the past couple of weeks. Drew comes out, cuts a very Scottish sounding promo on Matt Hardy, he gets in the ring and they brawl. Unlike TNA, this didn't take up the first half hour of the program though. It lasted roughly 10 minutes tops. After a few punches, McIntyre got the upper hand on Hardy. They both managed to get outside the ring and McIntyre was just laying a beating on Matt by this point. Security, referees, and officials were trying to separate the two, but Drew wouldn't stop. Teddy Long, the general manager, comes out and suspends Drew. That didn't stop him, so Teddy decided to strip him of the Intercontinental Championship. That didn't stop him either, so Teddy fired him. I'm sure he's not really fired. It's probably just an easy way to get Drew off of Smackdown and onto Raw without having to bring the Intercontinental Championship with him or to have him lose a match and lose the title. Either that or they're going to bring Vince to Smackdown and have him throw a fit and fire Teddy Long. I'm sure there are plans to make Vickie Guerrero the next general manager anyway since she manages to get crowd heat like the sun. After that incident, we have a short match between MVP (Montel Vontavious Porter) vs. Luke Gallows. Of course there was some Straight Edge Society shenanigans, but Rey Mysterio comes out and attacks CM Punk, causing a distraction for Gallows, causing MVP to hit the Complete Shot on him. The Complete Shot is a move in which the person doing it jumps up and grabs their head and slams them down face first. Shelton Benjamin used to do it. His version was called PayDirt. After the Gallows/MVP match, CM Punk is in the ring with the rest of the SES and calls out Rey Mysterio. He calls him a coward because he attacked Punk from behind. Rey Mysterio then comes out and says that Punk is no better because he has a masked man attacking Rey constantly. Punk says that Rey is painting the inside of his mask with hallucinagetic drugs and denies the existence of this masked man. Rey claims that Punk is the one hallucinating and that he still feels like cutting Punk's hair off. Punk tells Rey that he pinned Rey at Extreme Rules. Rey then reminds Punk that he beat Punk at Wrestlemania and according to Rey, that makes them even. Rey then challenges Punk to one more match at Over the Limit. Rey says that if CM Punk loses, he gets to shave him bald, however if Rey Mysterio loses, he will join the Straight Edge Society. Rey Mysterio finally made a proper face promo against CM Punk and said that he likes CM Punk's message about not doing drugs, drinking, or smoking cigarettes, however, he doesn't appreciate the messenger or his method. Rey then says to Punk that he would gladly join the Straight Edge Society right then and there if Punk chooses to shave his head. Punk refuses of course and claims that Rey Mysterio is playing trying to stir trouble. Rey then tells Serena and Luke Gallows that Punk doesn't care about them because even though they did everything he told them to, Punk never shaved his head and simply makes them do all the work. Serena and Gallows stare at Punk for a minute, but Punk assures them that Mysterio is simply trying to fool them. After that, they pretty much leave, but the match is made at Over the Limit. Not bad. Punk and Mysterio had some decent matches for the past couple of months, and one more wouldn't hurt. I'd argue that this is the 2010 equivalent of the Rey Mysterio/Chris Jericho feud of last year, which was one of the best feuds in recent memory. The next match features Kelly Kelly and Tiffany, aka Generic Blondes 5812u37987591724375123659060127475912 and 5817439571949512054095091543275613258 vs. Team LayCool, as in Michelle McCool and Layla. It was a typical Diva's match, so pretty much a piss break. Team LayCool won the match, but I couldn't care less because the match was a bore. I really hate to sound sexist, but Diva's matches really are no better than piss breaks because most of them can't wrestle to save their lives. Some of them can, but the only one that can that gets any kind of a push is Beth Phoenix. Mickie James and Katie Lea Burchill were fired and Gail Kim is jobbing on Raw and botching like crazy because she's working with people who can barely do a collar/elbow tieup. After that, Teddy Long is doing an interview in the back and proclaims that since the Intercontinental Title was vacated, there will be a 4 man tournament to decide a new champion. The first match in the tournament is Kofi Kingston vs. Dolph Ziggler. Excellent match for television. Nice back and forth action, lots of near falls, high impact moves. Good stuff. If you have a chance to check it out, please do. Kofi Kingston won and moves on to the finals. The next match in the tournament is Christian vs. Cody Rhodes. Also a good match and worth checking out. Christian won the match and will face Kofi Kingston in the finals. I expect a good match out of those two and I can't wait until next Friday. Thank you WWE, that seems like a good birthday present. The main event of the night was the All American American, World Heavyweight Champion, Jack Swagger taking on Kane. It was nice seeing Kane use amateur wrestling techniques in the opening of the match. Nice back and forth action, and Kane definitely made Swagger look good. Big Show came out during the match wearing a suit and sat on commentary with Matt Striker and Todd Grisham. I am loving Big Show as a face. He tends to let his personality and natural charisma come out when he's a face rather than when he's a heel. I liked that Big Show and Matt Striker made a throwback reference to Brock Lesnar vs. Big Show a couple years ago where Big Show got superplexed through the ring. Jack Swagger ended up getting disqualified when he kept doing shoulder thrusts to Kane in the corner, which was exposed. After the match, Jack Swagger went outside the ring near the Big Show to pose with the title. Big Show stood up and was ready for action, however, Kane got up and attacked Swagger from behind. Jack Swagger got the upperhand by attacking Kane's injured ribs, but Big Show quickly grabbed Swagger and gave him a chokeslam through the announce table and that ended the show. Good show all around, but last week's show was better. I'm still very optimistic about both Raw and Smackdown though.

Well, that's pretty much going to do it for today's entry. Enjoy the podcast, the playlist, and until next time, take care.

Editing....finally done.

You may be noticing that this entry is a little later than usual. I had to edit the WeDoTech podcast and I finally finished it. I'm glad it's finally done. Pokemon FireRed Part 33 is up already on youtube. Check that out. I warn you though, it's filled with rage and frustration. I'm probably going to record more footage tonight, but now I need to figure out where I'm going to end it. Not sure if I should end it when I finish the Cinnabar Gym or should I take care of the first three Sevii Islands quest within the same recording. I'll probably figure that out tonight.

WWE Superstars came on last night at about 10:00pm instead of 8:00pm. It was pushed back due to a baseball game. Well, it was pretty much what I expected. Midcard matches and nothing more. The only thing of note was that Primo and Carlito pretty much reunited.

I'm sorry for a really short blog, but I'm worn out after editing that podcast so I'll probably have more to talk about tomorrow. Until next time, take care.

Psychic? More like Psychotic.

So I just finished editing the next two parts for Pokemon FireRed. Took on Giovanni in the Silph Co. building and the Saffron Gym. Sabrina was a bitch to fight. That damn Alakazam took forever to beat. Oh well, it's finally over. I'm probably going to record more tomorrow.

In WeDoTech.net news, we recorded the podcast last night. This time it was James, Matt, myself and a new addition in Simon, also known as GamerGeezer on Youtube. Simon's a good dude. Had a good time just chatting with him about gaming. According to James, this will probably be our best podcast yet. I'll have to listen to it during editing to find out for sure. To be perfectly honest I'm just hoping that a lot of the background noise didn't make it in, mostly the dog barking. According to James, it wasn't that bad. I'm probably going to edit it down Friday. I sure as hell didn't feel like doing it last night and probably won't edit it today. To be perfectly honest I'm not too worried since whenever Dean edited it it nearly took him a week to do that anyway.

As far as music goes, been listening to some Long John Baldry. I have a couple songs of his in the playlist. Some nice bits of blues, rock, and r&b. John also did the voice of Dr. Ivo Robotnik in the Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog. I never knew he was actually a blues singer until a couple years ago. I recommend checking out some of his albums.

That's going to cover it for today. Don't have much going on in the way of wrestling at the moment so that'll be all. Until next time, take care.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://nonsensicalramblingsofd.blogspot.com/2010/05/psychic-more-like-psychotic.html' title='Psychic? First thing's first, Pokemon FireRed has a new episode uploading as I type this. I was going to do 2 episodes yesterday but I decided against it at the last minute due to various circumstances happening at that point in time, so it ended being 1 episode yesterday, and 1 episode today.

I said in yesterday's entry that I would talk about Monday Night Raw and TNA Impact and I plan to do just that. I'll start off with Raw since I watched that first. Overall, I have to say that I enjoyed the show. The show starts off with Batista coming out to cut a promo about how he was screwed at Extreme Rules due to John Cena using duct tape to win the match. He then talks about how both he and Cena have to have a "Beat the Clock" challenge to decide what their stipulation is for their rematch at the next pay-per-view Over the Limit. Sheamus comes out and tells Batista that he is the one that deserves the title shot because unlike Batista, he actually won his match at Extreme Rules. Batista then tells him that Sheamus lost during the triple threat match from last week's show, despite never actually being pinned or forced to submit. I like that they're throwing Sheamus in the feud, even if it's just as someone who is trying to get into the actual match. The fact that they have him standing up to Batista and not acting like a cowardly heel is a good sign since it makes Sheamus look like a credible threat. After that, Batista has his match against The Miz. At least that was supposed to happen. Turned out Miz had a doctor's note and couldn't compete due to the trauma placed on his jaw after The Big Show decked him last week. He decides to send his NXT rookie, Daniel Bryan, to face Batista in his place. Now the whole premise of the "Beat the Clock" challenge is that one wrestler will have a match and the time it takes for him to win will set the time to beat for the next person to take that challenge. Daniel Bryan got some nice bits of offense in during the match, managing to almost make Batista tap as well as almost getting a pinfall victory. He was looking pretty good during this match, but yet it was obvious from the start that Batista would win, and he did win after hitting the Batista Bomb (his rendition of a power bomb) on Bryan and pinning him for a time of 5 minutes and 6 seconds. After the match, embarrassed by the fact that he took that long to beat Bryan, he went back into the ring and gave him 2 more Batista Bombs. Next thing we see is Wayne Brady, who is the guest host for this week, talking with Eve backstage during a photoshoot. Of course they had to do a comedy skit where Jillian Hall comes out and tries to sing for Wayne Brady as horridly as humanly possible, but of course they were pretty quick to get her out of the room. Wayne Brady leaves and Eve is attacked by Maryse who wants the Diva's Championship back. All in all, the segment wasn't that bad and it's the first time in a long time that a diva rivalry had some sort of build. Next they show Edge in the back talking with either a stage hand or some kind of production assistant about clips to use for some kind of video reel. Edge is listing some of his previous accomplishments he wants in the video, yet the guy he's talking to keeps telling him that these clips can't be used because of the TV-PG rating. Edge then does an interview with Josh Matthews saying that he's the "Rated R Superstar" and that he wants to bring back controversy to the WWE like it was known for "back in the day." Ted Dibiase Jr. then comes to the ring to have a match with John Morrison, but first he cuts a promo saying how R-Truth is stupid for refusing to be his assistant (his Virgil) and that he will find someone and the first thing he will order that person to do is to beat up R-Truth and teach him a lesson. John Morrison comes out and the match begins. Some decent back and forth action that leads to a spot where Ted Dibiase is out of the ring and John Morrison stands on the top rope, not the turnbuckle, to do a 450 splash to the outside. After that, John Morrison gets back in the ring and Dibiase leaves, accepting a countout defeat. Morrison then gets on the mic and says that he won't accept that kind of win. He proposes that the match continues, and if he loses, he will become Ted's Virgil. Of course that intrigues Ted and he comes back and the match continues. Again, lots of back and forth action, however in the end John Morrison wins. After the match, Dibiase attacks Morrison and R-Truth comes out to make the save. The two pose together in the ring and Ted makes his way to the back. Solid match overall and I wouldn't mind seeing it again. Next we have John Cena who is supposed to face Chris Jericho for his own "Beat the Clock" match. He was supposed to face off against Chris Jericho, but Jericho decided that his own NXT rookie, Wade Barrett, should face him instead because Jericho felt he was above the match. Wade also did one hell of a job and almost made John lose the challenge. Of course though, John Cena no sold (which means acted as if he wasn't hurt at all) Wade at the last 27 seconds he had, locked him in the STF and made him tap out. After the match, Cena says he won't make the audience wait and was about ot announce the stipulation for his match against Batista, but Sheamus comes out and knocks Cena out with a bicycle kick. Next we have a diva's match between Maryse and Nikki Bella. The match wasn't that memorable and to be perfectly honest I didn't care for it. Maryse won, but after the match she decided to show off a photoshoot of her own that was taken after knocking Eve out earlier. Of course it was Maryse posing with Eve's Diva Championship while ontop of her unconscious body (That statement sounds rather perverted, but that's literally what happened.) After that, we cut to the back where Wayne Brady is talking with Vladimir Kozlov who was demanding competition. Santino comes in dressed with hippie clothes and an afro wig claiming he was a major fan of The Brady Bunch but Wayne tells him he was never a member of that show. Santino's gimmick is that he's a stupid foreigner who doesn't have a clue about actual American culture. It's a stupid gimmick, but meh, he at least makes it funny. Anyway, Santino claims that he wants to be a tag team partner to Vladimir Kozlov, but Kozlov wants nothing to do with Santino. William Regal comes in, who is tagging with Kozlov, and Santino says that Regal screwed Kozlov over back when ECW was still around. He claimed he was one of the 7 people who watched that show. Regal claims that he and Kozlov have settled their differences and things were just fine. Santino makes another Brady Bunch reference by yelling "Regal! Regal! Regal!(similar to Marsha Marsha Marsha)" Santino then leaves and the camera zooms out and you see Goldust in a dress similar to the character Alice. Wayne says "What are you supposed to be Alice?" Goldust then says "Who's Alice? I'm Goldust you witch!" He then walks away, which I thought was pretty funny. We then cut to Chris Jericho and The Miz talking backstage about how they both carried The Big Show during their respective tag team title runs and that he was just ungrateful to them for punching them both in the face. Miz says there is nothing they can do now since Big Show is on Smackdown and they're both on Raw, but Jericho says he has a plan and Miz should follow him. This pretty much signified that Miz and Jericho are going to form their very own tag team, which I have mixed feelings about. Jericho and Miz would definitely make an awesome team as both of them are easily 2 of the best promo men in the business and Jericho is one of the best period. On the other hand, Miz is the United States Champion and hasn't defended that title on television or a pay per view in months which is totally devaluing that title. I know titles are nothing but props, but they really should put some emphasis on Miz as the United States champion. Next there is a match between Vladimir Kozlov teaming with William Regal vs. The Hart Dynasty who are the newly crowned Unified Tag Team Champions. It was a pretty decent tag match but it was rather obvious the Hart Dynasty would win. During the match Chris Jericho and the Miz were on commentary and I loved that they were both shitting all over Michael Cole, because I can't stand the man at all. He's a tool and a terrible commentator. After that match, as the Hart Dynasty were celebrating their win, Jericho and Miz ran to the ring and attacked them knocking them both out. Good match, good segment, and I anticipate where it goes from there. We finally hit the final segment of the night where Edge hosts The Cutting Edge, a talk show similar to Piper's Pit or The Highlight Reel. His guest is supposed to be Randy Orton, whom Edge speared last week costing him a shot at the title. He says that the reason he speared Orton was that he had a plan to take the World Heavyweight Title from Jack Swagger back on Smackdown, but due to the fact that Ted Dibiase won a battle royal he was drafted over to Raw, which ruined his plans entirely. Wayne Brady interrupts the segment claiming that he is a huge fan of Edge and wants to hang out during the show and follow in Edge's shadow for a bit. Edge is saying how cool it is that Wayne Brady is there and they're talking like every thing's cool, then Randy Orton comes out and doesn't say a word. He gets in Edge's face as he's ready to attack him, then Wayne Brady comes and tries to cool Orton down, but Orton locks him in and drops him with an RKO. Props to Wayne Brady for taking a bump like that. Anyway, he backs Edge in a corner and Edge says on the mic that he's angry that the fans cheer for Orton despite the fact that he's similar to Edge in that he does what he wants when he wants. He also said that when Edge came back he tried to do everything he could to appease the fans and yet they wouldn't fully accept him, despite that being completely untrue. Anyway, Randy Orton tries to hit Edge with an RKO, Edge escapes, kicks Randy in the face which stuns him for a minute. Edge then goes to the corner to attempt to hit a Spear on Randy. As Edge is coming, Randy quickly hits the RKO which looked awesome. Randy then stands above Edge in the middle of the ring and the show ends. All in all it was an excellent show and I hope Raw continues in the same direction. Wayne Brady did a decent job hosting this week and I hope Flava Flav can do just as well. TNA Impact on the other hand was not as good.

Actually, TNA Impact was a train wreck and a half. We start off with Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan riding in a limo, in broad daylight despite the fact that it's 8:00 pm and the shot looks as if early afternoon and this all takes place in Florida, on the east coast. Anyway, we then cut to the ring where we hear Ric Flair's theme music hit. Jay Lethal comes out in a nice suit wearing Ric Flair's Hall of Fame ring that Hogan gave him and is doing easily the best Ric Flair impression I've ever heard or seen. Anyway, he's then interrupted by Ric Flair who is very angry that Jay Lethal is disrespecting him. Lethal then gives the ring back to Flair and says he idolized Ric Flair and had no intentions of disrespecting him. Ric Flair is unimpressed with Lethal's bullshit and decides to slap him in the face and starts attacking Lethal. Lethal then starts defending himself, but suddenly Beer Money, Desmond Wolfe, and AJ Styles hit the ring and start attacking Jay Lethal. After that, Abyss wobbles to the ring and attempts to save Lethal, but he starts getting his ass beat, then Team 3D tries to make the save but that doesn't help, then finally RVD comes in with a chair and scares the attackers off. They then cut to a commercial. When they come back, Ric Flair and crew are standing at the entrance while RVD and crew are standing in the ring. RVD gets on the mic and says that he wants to keep fighting so they invite Flair and company to hit the ring and start fighting again. Low and behold, Ric says that's a good idea, and the clusterfuck continues. Hulk Hogan gets a text about what's going on and decides to turn the limo around and head back to the arena. Hogan then comes out, and I'm not kidding, knocks all the bad guys out in 1 punch. We're talking about a 60 year old Hulk Hogan knocking out the top 5 heels of the company out in 1 punch when even the World Heavyweight Champion was having trouble fending off one of these guys. It was a giant clusterfuck and looked horrid. We then cut to a commercial again. When we come back, the clusterfuck is STILL going on and this time we see security and referees trying to break everything up. Hogan then gets on the mic and decides to make some matches. The first match he makes is RVD vs. Desmond Wolfe for the TNA World Heavyweight Champion Rob Van Dam. The fans, including myself, voted for Desmond Wolfe to get a title shot and so he got one. The next match Hogan announces is AJ Styles vs. Abyss in a "Monster's Ball" match, which is just a hardcore match with a fancy name. Hogan then announces that Beer Money, who were originally supposed to face The Motor City Machine Guns in a tag match will now be facing Team 3D as well, making it a 3-way Tag Team Match. The clusterfuck is finally over and that's already the first half hour of the show done already. Mike Tenay and Taz also made the announcement that Impact will be moving back to Thursday nights, meaning I don't have to record it anymore. They claimed that the reason they're moving back is because the fans "demanded it." While that is partially true, it's rather obvious the reason they are moving back is because they were getting destroyed by Monday Night Raw in the ratings. Raw got a 3.1 rating whereas Impact got a 0.5 rating last week. It's obvious that Impact needs to go back Thursdays in order to survive. Anyway, we finally get a match in which Douglas Williams and Brian Kendrick team up to face the newly formed team of Ink Inc. made up of Shannon Moore and Jessie Neil. Before the actual match starts, Douglas Williams gets on the mic to talk about TNA management stripping him of the X-Division title. The reason he was stripped of the title was due to the fact that he was trapped in Europe after the volcano erupted in Iceland and couldn't make it to Lockdown to defend the title. The man couldn't come back to defend the title due to conditions out of his control and thus the title was stripped. Of course he still wears the title because he feels he is still the champion, and never actually lost the title, and rightfully so. Anyway, Ink Inc. come out and have their match and of course they win after Douglas Williams ditches his partner. During the match, the current tag team champions Matt Morgan...and...his ego I guess, go out and do commentary. Technically, his partner was Hernandez, but Morgan turned heel and injured Hernandez, claiming the tag titles for himself. He now refers to himself in plural pronoun, so instead of "I" or "me" he now refers to himself in "we" and "us." I actually kind of like that gimmick, but the problem is every time he defends the title he has to find a partner. Anyway, it was announced that Ink Inc. were getting a title shot and Morgan was told that Hogan will decide Morgan's partner when he defends those titles at Sacrifice, the next pay-per-view. Morgan says to Hogan that he demands to know who is partner is by the next show or else Morgan will spread chaos and carnage. Anyway, after the match Samoa Joe comes out for no reason and just beats the shit out of Douglas Williams and Brian Kendrick. They still never actually explained what happened to Samoa Joe after he was kidnapped by ninjas. Yes, that's right, Samoa Joe was kidnapped by ninjas and managed to escape and TNA haven't shed light on it at all. After that, we cut to Mr. Anderson attacking Pope Diangelo Dinero in the back and stealing his sunglasses. He's wearing an alter boy robe while doing so and it looked pretty funny actually. After coming back from a commercial, Anderson comes to the ring and cuts a funny promo about how he beat the hell out of Pope and then Jeff Hardy comes out and spews nonsense about how Pope won't be able to face Anderson at the next pay-per-view so Jeff Hardy will take his place. To be perfectly honest, I couldn't care less by this point. Next we have a match between Tara, Sarita, and Taylor Wild vs. The Beautiful People in a 6 Knockout tag match in which both the Knockout single's title as well as the Knockout's tag titles were all on the line. The Beautiful People won. During the match Tara was heeling it up and saying how she was better than her tag partners and what not, also attacking Taylor Wild and Sarita. We then cut backstage where Tara is being interviewed by Christie Hemmie. Tara says that the company isn't taking her seriously and that they've done nothing but screw her over ever since she got there. She then challenges Knockout Champion Madison Reyne to a title match at Sacrifice and Christie then says, "Well how do you expect the company to decide that you are worthy of challenging for the title." Tara says "I'll challenge Madison and put my career on the line." Seems to me that Tara is leaving soon and I don't blame her. We then cut to a backstage segment where Hulk Hogan is talking about his family issues and then breaks down into tears. To be perfectly honest, this wasn't necessary. Jeremy Borash tries to get an interview out of Ric Flair, but Flair refuses an interview and tries to shut the door. Of course the door manages to stay open just enough so you can see and hear everything he's saying. He tries to give encouragement to AJ, Desmond, Robert Roode, and James Storm. Ric Flair then suddenly slams the door shut once he realizes it was still open. We then cut to the 3-way tag match and to be perfectly honest it wasn't that memorable until the very end. Scott Hall and Kevin Nash come out and attack Team 3D causing the match to end in a "no contest." Eric Young comes out to make the save, but it turns out to be a swerve (surprise twist) and joins with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. This made absolutely no sense if you've been paying attention. When Scott Hall and Sean Waltman first came to the company, Kevin Nash tried getting them jobs but it wasn't working out. Hogan wanted nothing to do with those guys. Hall and Waltman kept sneaking into the building and what not and suddenly they attacked Kevin Nash. Nash and Young started decide to team up and take those two out for attacking Nash. They had a pay-per-view tag match at Destination X, if Hall and Waltman won, they got contracts to work for the company. Nash swerved on Eric Young and helped Hall and Waltman win and get contracts. Angry about it, Young challenged Kevin Nash to a match at Lockdown and lost. Suddenly Eric Young joins Kevin Nash and gang? That's illogical booking if I've ever seen it. Again this turns into a massive clusterfuck as the MCMG decide to attack Eric Young, Hall, and Nash, then they're attacked by Beer Money and the two groups decide to pose in the ring. It was stupid and I remember pulling my hair from it. Next we are introduced to a new talk show hosted by Orlando Jordan called The O-Zone. Orlando's gimmick is semi-based on his real life bisexuality. The difference is that the character is supposed to be bisexual on a very creepy/disturbing level. He claims that Rob Terry is his guest and then pulls out a cutout of him. He then starts touching the cutout in various locations and is admiring him. It's very creepy and I'm not a homophobe in any sense of the word, but it was way too gay and made me as well as everyone else feel very uncomfortable. Rob Terry then comes out and rips apart the cutout and punches Orlando Jordan. When Rob is turned around and posing, Jordan gets up and knocks Rob Terry out. Luckily the segment ended. Next we have the match between AJ Styles and Abyss. The match was short burst entertainment and barely lasted 5 minutes with AJ winning after Ric Flair and Chelsea come out causing a distraction and AJ hitting Abyss with a low blow while wearing brass knuckles. To be honest, the distraction seemed pointless since there were no disqualifications anyway. We finally move on to the World Title match where Desmond Wolfe faces RVD. It was a 6 minute squash. RVD beat Desmond quick and clean and after the match AJ Styles comes out, attacks RVD and claims he will get his rematch at Sacrifice. What kills me about this is that they just implemented a Top 10 ranking system based on voting. Desmond Wolfe came in first place and got his title shot. Next in line is supposed to be Jeff Hardy. I mean, I'm glad AJ is getting the title shot, but what's the point in having a voting based contender's list if you're not going to follow it? It makes absolutely no sense, which seems to be a running theme with this show. The final segment is a promo between Hulk Hogan and Sting where Hogan asks why Sting has been heeling it up as of late. Sting claims that Hogan was protected in all the companies he's worked with and that he was a politicizing asshole back in WCW. Hogan's all like "well you just want to be a bad guy brother" and it leads to Jeff Jarrett attacking Sting and that's pretty much the whole show. It was horrid.

Speaking of horrid, that brings me to NXT. I want to know what the hell happened to this show. It used to be awesome in the first couple of weeks. You had great matches like Daniel Bryan vs. Chris Jericho, which is basically like a dream match to fans of pure wrestling, like myself. Now the show is filled with nothing but stupid gimmicky challenges similar to the old show Double Dare, literally, last night's challenge was an obstacle course. What does any of that have to do with wrestling?! I don't want to see Skip Sheffield and Michael Tarver trying to drink soda. I want to see Wade Barrett and Daniel Bryan wrestle people. The other half of the show is Daniel Bryan losing. He hasn't won a single match on the show, yet somehow we're supposed to believe that this is an underdog story? Seriously, I could believe that with the first 3 or 4 losses, but now we're on loss number 10 and he lost to Michael Tarver last night, who also never won a match and is expected to be eliminated next week. There's really nothing more to talk about for this show because it pisses me off how it went from being awesome and one of the best wrestling shows on television to complete and total garbage. I'll keep watching it because it's wrestling related, but to be perfectly honest, I'm tempted to stop watching it all together.

I made you guys read enough for today so I'm going to stop it here. Again, enjoy the playlist and until next time, take care.

Work sucks. Getting paid is good.

So last night I started my first shift. If you want to know, it was hell. I received no training, even though I was told I was supposed to go through a training course. I was pretty much thrown to the wolves and was expected to do things I had no experience or training in doing, such as carrying big trays filled with food, expected to know brand names of wines. I mean, the guy who was our boss for the night answered questions if I had them, but it was pretty much a "you see this, do it," experience, rather than me just following someone and learning that way. Needless to say I almost caused a scene when I almost dropped a tray with people's orders. I was partnered with a girl to do a certain section, but to be perfectly honest, I felt like I did all the work. She'd literally stand by a wall and tell me "go take care of that table." I'd do that, and she'd just be standing by the wall. She actually did end up doing some work, but nowhere near as much as I did. She even told me they were supposed to put me through an actual training course and I shouldn't have been working that night since I had absolutely no experience. It kind of pissed me off, but by that point it was too late to throw a bitch fit about it. I first got there at about 2:50 pm. I was supposed to be there by 3:00 pm, so I was early, which is fine, but somehow I was the last person to show up. They were all setting up for the banquet, and the only thing they really taught me was how to set up the tables, but apparently from what I heard that wasn't the only setup style they used so I still need to learn the others. There definitely was a vibe of people not sure of what they were supposed to be doing. We were all told to put napkins in the white wine glasses, then when we were all eating, yes they actually feed us, we were told that we basically fucked up and have to take all the napkins out and place them in the red wine glasses. Needless to say that felt extremely tedious. I felt like a jackass because I wore these really nice dress shoes and everyone else was wearing sneakers. The dress shoes fit fine but needless to say that if I knew I could just wear my sneakers, I would. Next we had to put on aprons and bow ties. Of course we had a hard time finding a bow tie that fit around my neck. We finally found one after ravaging the bag of bow ties. According to the guy I was working for last night, I'm not a very handsome man, as he felt the need to tell me so. I'm sure it was all in good jest as he definitely said it in a light-hearted manner, but it was still unnecessary. Throughout the actual banquet itself I was having trouble moving around because my feet and back were killing me. I definitely felt like I was in some serious pain and it was very hard for me to move. Of course the girl I was working with was telling me I need to become faster. That's easy for you to say when you are just sitting by a wall and only doing a fraction of the work I was doing, on my first day no less. Needless to say, working last night was not a fun or enjoyable experience at all. Hopefully the pay will be good, but I have a feeling my check is going to get butchered to hell due to the fact that I have taxes and union taken out of my check and I only worked 6 hours. The whole thing ended at 9:00 pm, even though I was scheduled to work until 9:30 pm. One of the guys I worked with, a kid named Dan, told me that last time he actually worked was back in January, and he's been working there for 2 years already. He told me that the past 2 years have been busy, but this year has been slow due to the recession. That's definitely not a good sign, but at least I'll also have my summer job to fall back in in regards to making money for the time being. Needless to say my feet were killing me all night long. It was really hard to sleep because of it. I actually woke up at 2:00 am this morning because my feet were still killing me. Anyway, that's enough bitching about work.

In Youtube news, I'll be doing 2 episodes of Pokemon FireRed today. I don't really feel like doing them, but I will because I'm sure my subscribers are getting restless from a lack of an episode yesterday.

In regards to pro wrestling, I have nothing to write about at the moment because I was only able to catch the last hour. I'm going to watch both TNA Impact as well as Monday Night Raw in their entirety today and give a much better analysis to them tomorrow as well as an analysis on NXT.

That's pretty much all I have to talk about today so until next time, take care.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://nonsensicalramblingsofd.blogspot.com/2010/05/work-sucks-getting-paid-is-good.html' title='Work sucks. As to be expected, I'm pretty anxious about it. I have a feeling everything will turn out okay, but I'm still pretty anxious, which is perfectly normal.

In Youtube news, there will be no new episode of Pokemon FireRed today. Instead, there will be 2 new episodes tomorrow. I'm far too busy thinking about my first day working this new job to be thinking about narrating or editing.

Very short entry today, but I don't have much to talk about, so until next time, take care.

Cutting myself to death.

If you're wondering about the title, no, I don't mean in that way like you hear about with 15 year old girls who take a razor blade and cut their arms because they couldn't go to that concert or the boy from their class wouldn't wave to them. It's referring to my Pokemon FireRed run as of late. Yesterday's episode was painful to edit and narrate because it consisted of me mostly cutting footage of unnecessary filler. I'm at a point in the game, at least on Youtube, where it's pretty much an endurance of trainer battles and most of these trainers carry Pokemon we've seen dozens of times, and for the sake of you, the viewer, I've been cutting out battles we've seen already. Narrating stuff like this is kind of a bitch because it's constantly "Oh and we have this battle...and I'm cutting it." Let's just say it gets tedious right away. I do plan to finish the series however since I made it this far. I'm not sure how I'm going to go about doing this series once I start working, because I have a feeling that I'll still be doing it when my summer job starts, which is the weekend of Memorial Day, now also add that with my new job working with the Yale catering service. I know that tomorrow, if I can I'll try to get an episode out early, but if not I'll do 2 episodes Tuesday. To tell you the truth, I don't feel like editing/narrating today, but I probably will when I'm done writing this entry.

As far as music for today, right now I'm listening to a song called Gabrielle by the band Ween. I have to say, this song captures the essence of the Thin Lizzy style of playing damn near flawlessly. If you're a fan of Thin Lizzy then I highly suggest giving that song a listen. If I'm not mistaken, it is in the playlist. If you never heard Thin Lizzy before I highly recommend a listen to them as well, and you can catch some of their songs in the playlist. In fact Thin Lizzy takes up roughly the first 6 songs or so in the playlist so they're easy to find in there.

No wrestling to talk about today since there was no show last night. Shame actually. Anyway, that's going to do it for this entry. Short, but I got nothing else to talk about so until next time, take care.

This is why I watch Smackdown!

I'll start off with miscellaneous news before dealing with the title of this entry. I did get the shirt and shoes needed for work and everything fits and looks just fine. Now it's just a matter of seeing what happens when I start my first shift. Still relatively nervous, but I'm looking forward to it. Donkey Kong is completely done. The series finished yesterday and I'm glad that I did that series. You can check it out with this playlist. You know, you can go onto TheGamesNight channel and request games to be played. Go to that channel and make a request if you want me to do a run of a certain game and maybe I'll do it, depending on my own schedule as well as other various circumstances of course. James is holding a contest on not only TheGamesNight, but on the official wedotch channel, as well as on the flickthebeanz and roadtowembley channels. All you need to do is subscribe to those 4 channels, and if you have a Twitter account, follow James on the wedotech Twitter account and you can get 2 chances to win the official AC/DC Iron Man 2 soundtrack. Did some heavy duty recording last night for Pokemon FireRed last night. I now have over 3 hours worth of footage to use for the next week or so. I may do even more recording tonight just to have myself set for a while.

As far as music for today, I'm currently listening to some Blues Traveler at the moment. Now there is a band that is a lot more talented than given credit for. I have some of their songs in the playlist as well. Highly recommend some of them. I recommend their self-titled album as well as Of Travelers and Thieves, which is the album I'm listening to at the moment, as well as their 4th album simply called Four. The entire band is extremely talented in what they do and if you like to rock out or jam, then definitely give these guys a listen. Funny story about Blues Traveler. A couple years ago they played here in West Haven on the green for a free live show. I wasn't a fan of them at the time, though purely due to not knowing who they were. I was asked if I wanted to go, but chose not to for whatever reason. Here I am years later now regretting that decision. Oh well, maybe someday if they ever come back to Connecticut in some capacity I'll try and go.

Now it's time for the wrestling aspect of the blog and I'm going to talk about last night's episode of Friday Night Smackdown. I have to tell you guys, I loved it. At first I wasn't too sure how it would go because of the draft taking away both Edge and Chris Jericho, pretty much sapping Smackdown of star power, however last night's show put those fears to rest because it is clear as crystal that this show will be designed to build new stars. As of last night, Big Show was announced the number 1 contender for Jack Swagger's World Heavyweight Championship. I hope Swagger retains, because once Big Show is out of the title picture that gives opportunities to guys like Kofi Kingston or Christian a chance to finally nab the big one, even if Christian technically is a former world champion due to his time in TNA, it still isn't acknowledged by WWE for obvious reasons. Speaking of Christian, his little promo with Edge last night was totally awesome. If they're planning an Edge vs. Christian feud, sign me up because I would totally dig that. Smackdown also had something I really like, which is good wrestling. There were plenty of great matches yesterday including John Morrison vs. Cody Rhodes, Kofi Kingston vs. Chris Jericho, MVP and Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk and Luke Gallows, and even the divas tag match between Beth Phoenix and Kelly Kelly vs. Michelle McCool and Layla was watchable. The Big Show is suddenly a face after spending the last 2 years or so now as a heel. I like that his gimmick is that he can act goofy but pretty much just knocks people out. Those punches he gave to Swagger, Edge, and Jericho looked stiff as all hell. Anyway, I wait to see how Monday Night Raw will compare since they have a lot more star power now. To be honest, if Monday's show and yesterday's show is any indication, we might be in for at the very least a year of solid wrestling again which makes me smile like a spoiled child in a candy store.

So I woke up this morning and found out that TNA had finally fired Bubba "The Love Sponge." All I can say is that it's about time. Bubba offered absolutely nothing to the brand other than bad publicity, especially considering his issues with Awesome Kong, who is no longer in the company due to him in the first place. Some of you reading this, if not all of you, will have no idea what I'm talking about. Well, back during the aftermath of the horrible earthquake that happened in Haiti, Bubba deemed it necessary to post a message on Twitter basically saying, "We need to help our country out first. Fuck Haiti." Awesome Kong, who has been helping out various charities to help Haiti and even ran one of her own, was extremely offended by his comments, and rightfully so, and decided to punch him in the face. Kong was suspended for it, which is no shocker, and left the company over it, which I don't blame her for it either. You would think the problem would have been over from there, but no, not by a long shot. Bubba wouldn't shut up about it and continued to make various verbal attacks on Kong, even going as far as sending harrassing phone calls to her house, anonymously of course, and then claiming that he didn't do it after Kong threatened to press charges. Well, eventually it culminated to this. Apparently Kong was supposed to appear on another radio show, but it turned out to be nothing but a setup to give Bubba a chance to come on the show and continue to harrass her. Seriously, I'm glad this piece of shit is gone. He comes off as a major tool and it's only a good thing he's gone. I just wish Kong would knock him on his ass again.

Anyway, that's going to wrap up this entry and of course I hope you enjoy the playlist as well as enjoy reading. Until next time, take care.

Narration frustration

So last night you may have noticed that the next episode of Pokemon FireRed didn't go up. Well, that's because for whatever reason Windows Movie Maker kept crashing yesterday. When it finally started working, it turned out my narration was completely unusable since I somehow managed to have an echo effect going which made it completely worthless. I should be able to get it up today, but I also have to record new footage anyway so it kind of works out. We're finally on the final episode of Donkey Kong today. I've had a lot of fun with that series, and hopefully I've convinced a few people to actually buy the game. In my opinion, I think it's well worth a purchase. After that's done though, my attention will solely be based on finishing Pokemon FireRed, which we're passed the halfway point on that too.

I think the band of choice for today is Creedence Clearwater Revival. I really dig their sound. In fact, I really like that whole Southern sound in general. Not sure exactly what it is, but I really like it. I like that they combine various styles like rock music, blues, and folk music. I have some CCR in the playlist. Check them out. Last year I picked up a greatest hits album and I'm glad I made that purchase. Lots of good stuff to listen to.

In case anyone is wondering, yes, I did sleep better last night. I fell asleep at about 11:00 pm and woke up at about 8:30 am this morning. I still feel kind of tired, but I definitely am feeling a lot better.

Anyway, that's pretty much going to do it for this entry since I pretty much have nothing else to talk about. As per the usual, enjoy the playlist and take care.

IT'S A NEW DAY...it's a new day.

So I've been up since about 4 am this morning, and I'm not exactly sure why. I've been sleeping awkwardly for the past week or so, either waking up on and off or simply not being able to sleep at all. To tell you the truth, it's getting old. I actually like sleeping. Not sure if it's due to heat or stress. Maybe a combination of both. It's been getting hotter as of late, then again, the last couple nights were relatively chilly so I'm not sure. I start my job working for Yale on the 3rd of May, which is this coming Monday. I'll be working with the catering crew. I'm supposed to have a white buttoned down shirt, black dress pants, and dress shoes. I got the pants covered, but of course I still need the shirt and shoes. I'm probably stressing out over that. Not so much because of the clothes, but I've never actually been trained for the job. I'm not sure if they're going to train me while I'm on the job, which I hope and seems most likely, or if they'll just throw me in there and say "Do this." I have a history of getting nervous when trying new things. Probably due to all kinds of discouraging statements made by people calling me a constant fuck up, though that was mostly when I was younger, it still kind of holds me back from doing a lot more even to this day. I've come to find that I'd rather avoid doing something all together than failing at it. Probably not the best way to live, and it's probably something I should work on. I don't even know why I picked now to talk about some of my personal issues. Must be the lack of sleep.

In Youtube news, expect pretty much the same deal. New episode of Pokemon FireRed today as well as a new episode of DKGB. To be honest, I'm really looking forward to narrating the next episode of DKGB since we're covering my favorite area of the game, The Tower. It has a lot of my favorite levels and easily my favorite song in the entire game. My favorite song plays during the penultimate fight with Donkey Kong. Yes, I said penultimate. I said we were getting close to the end of the series, and a video goes up today and the final one goes up tomorrow. Anyway, the song is called Showdown at the Tower. What kills me is there hasn't been a single remix of this song, at all. Not even a shitty tecno remix. The song has not been touched whatsoever, which is suprising since this song seems like it's begging for a rock/metal arrangement. Why the hell they wouldn't remix this track for Super Smash Bros. Brawl I'll never know, especially considering they make references to the game with items like the Super Hammer. Seriously, remixers of the world, remix that song already. I don't care for another remix from Mega Man 2, or Sonic the Hedgehog. Give me a remix of that song.

So a lot of people have been asking me if I plan on getting Super Street Fighter IV and the answer is a definitive "no." I already own the original Street Fighter IV, and I refuse to pay another $40.00 for a game that simply has 10 more characters and a few tweaks. You'll have to add a lot more to the table to make me consider paying that much. They should have added Super stuff as DLC for the original game. You'd have to be really stupid or filthy rich to buy the new version of the game after already having purchased the old version of the game. To be perfectly honest, it shouldn't cost anything above $25.00 max. Sorry, but 3D models, new stages, and new characters don't justify paying an extra $40.00. Seriously, if you do the math, I had to pay $50.00 for the first game. That means I would have paid $90.00 worth of Street Fighter. To be perfectly honest, that's not exactly worth it. Don't get me wrong, I love Street Fighter, but not enough to pay that kind of money. If anything, it sounds like Capcom is punishing those who bothered buying the first game when you think about it. It completely makes the original Street Fighter IV obsolete. Hell, you can't even carry over your trophies and records from the original game. You have to start from scratch. Why are you punishing the original buyers Capcom? It makes no sense to me, and probably never will.

No wrestling last night. Superstars is on tonight but that show is more of a showcase of the midcard rather than a regular show like Raw/Smackdown. As far as music goes, not sure what I'll be listening to today. Probably a random hodgepodge of different music. Listening to the Legacy theme song from Adelitas Way. It's actually really catchy, even if I wouldn't listen to this band normally. Anyway, that's pretty much going to wrap today's entry up. Like usual, enjoy the playlist and take care.

NXT? Probably should be changed to CTC for "Change the Channel."

Well, before I dwell into the topic that the title is about, I may as well talk about Youtube news and what not. Last night both Part 10 and 11 of Donkey Kong (Game Boy) went up so expect to see Part 12 today. If everything goes according to plan, as in I actually do the episodes on time, the series should finish up by Friday. All I have to do is complete The Rocky Valley and The Tower and then we're pretty much done. I had a lot of fun recording Donkey Kong and I'm glad I did that project. Pokemon FireRed will also be continuing as scheduled. I'll be going through the Safari Zone, and I'm probably going to speed most of that up just for time purposes. I go through the Safari Zone a few times, so I'll probably speed up the first couple of runs before I do the main task in there.

It's Wednesday morning and things are pretty quiet. Sounds to me like The Guess Who are a good band to chill with today. I have some of their songs in the playlist. Check them out, great band. Speaking of music, one of my buddies shown me a mashup between Lady Gaga and the band Behemoth. Wow. Talk about polar opposites. How bored must someone be to make such a mashup? Apparently they took the songs Bad Romance by Lady Gaga and Ov Fire by Behemoth. I mean, the two are such polar opposites yet it somehow fits like a glove. Oh well. I will say this though, makes Lady Gaga more tolerable. You can check that mushup out here. I like some mashups. I have a mashup between Jimi Hendrix and Jay-Z in the playlist. That mashup was done really well too. I suggest checking that up.

Alright, once again we come to the wrestling portion of the blog. After watching TNA yesterday, it wasn't too bad, but not as good as Raw was. For whatever reason, they decided that it was a good idea for Ric Flair to still be wrestling. They had him take on Abyss where both of their rings were on the line. You may be wondering what the hell I'm talking about, so I'll catch you up. Back in February, Hulk Hogan gave Abyss his WWE Hall of Fame ring and that magically gave Abyss super strength and confidence and what not. Well, Ric Flair got pissed off and has been after Abyss' ring ever since. I know, it sounds stupid, and it is. Anyway, it eventually culminated to the point where Ric Flair decided to wrestle Abyss himself. That kills me. This is a major feud in TNA, who claim to hate the WWE, and yet they're feuding over a WWE Hall of Fame ring. What's even funnier is this feud is taking precedence over their World Title. Yeah. They're basically admitting, even if not intentionally, that a WWE related item is far more important than their own World Title. Then again, this is a company that for a while thought that The Nasty Boys were a relevant tag team and actually brought them in for a feud. Really, Impact wasn't bad last night, but pretty forgettable. For TNA that's actually good, because most of the time I remember all the parts that piss me off.

Speaking of pissing me off, that brings me to NXT. This show was awesome the first couple weeks. Now it seems to have become nothing but stupid gimmicks and Daniel Bryan losing. NXT is a wrestling show that comes on Tuesday nights on SyFy that features 8 rookies getting trained by 8 pros. As of late, each week they've been doing these challenges much like you see on typical reality shows. I would have no problem with this had they been legitimate, but the problem is they're obviously rigged. It is not just obvious, it is painfully obvious. For example, there was a challenge a couple weeks ago where the rookies had to take a keg of beer and run it around the ring and whoever did it in the fastest time wins. Well, Skip Sheffield legitimately got the fastest time but yet they still claim that Heath Slater won. Literally, Skip got across the finish line and the timer still added an extra second to his time. There was also a competition that involved the superstars doing promos. The rookies had 30 seconds to talk about a subject and the audience would decide the winner. Two major problems with this. First problem is that this challenge took place in England, and the crowd was obviously going to pick the only Englishman, Wade Barrett, to win, and they did. It was blatantly obvious that the crowd would be bias, and they were. Hell, they even booed Justin Gabriel because he said he was from South Africa. My second gripe was that they obviously intended from certain superstars to win this thing and others to completely blow it. Daniel Bryan went up, and his topic was "passion." Okay, this would be impossible to screw up, but he managed. He couldn't even do the promo because he was interrupted by Matt Striker who cut him off maybe halfway through and told him to stay on topic. Here's the part that makes it obvious that it's rigged. They gave people really stupid topics like "toothpaste" and "cereal." Hell, they gave Skip Sheffield a topic about "rainbows" and he didn't even stay on topic. He just started spewing out his catchphrases and wasn't interrupted at all. It's obvious they want Daniel Bryan to lose all these challenges, just like it's obvious that they want him to lose his matches. He hasn't won a single match yet. I understand the first night, he lost to Chris Jericho who was the World Heavyweight Champion, and they had one hell of a match. He then lost to The Great Khali, which would have been an obvious squash given that Khali is like 7'3 and Daniel Bryan is 5'9. Okay, that's fine too. He also loses to William Regal, which is understandable, Regal was his legit mentor for a long time, so that makes sense. Now he's just getting squashed by other rookies, which makes no sense to me. I almost think Vince is blatantly saying "fuck you" to the internet wrestling community. Daniel Bryan is pretty much the main reason why the IWC watches NXT because he was the king of the independent scene under the name Bryan Danielson. The kid can wrestle and is considered the best in the world by many. Anyway, NXT is becoming way too predictable now. Maybe that's what Vince wants. Maybe he'll give Daniel Bryan a totally unexpected win just to throw us off, but I hope it's soon because they're getting to the point where they can't bury this kid any deeper.

Anyway, that's going to do it for this blog. As per the usual, feel free to leave comments and enjoy the playlist. Until next time, take care.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://nonsensicalramblingsofd.blogspot.com/2010/04/nxt-probably-should-be-changed-to-ctc.html' title='NXT? Well, that's because there was a bit of an editing botch which apparently fucked up the whole clip. I'm going to upload it today as well as the next episode to make up for lost ground. It's alright either way because the series is almost over. Just figure I'd clear that up here for those who are actually paying attention to the written part of this blog and not just the playlist. Speaking of which, I added some new songs. 2 of those songs are actually raegae. Yeah, I kind of dig raegae now. I added Come Around by Collie Buddz and Buffalo Soldier by Bob Marley. It's kind of a given that if you like raegae music you pretty much have to like Bob Marley. Pokemon FireRed did go up yesterday though since that came out just fine. I think DKGB had that problem because I tried using speed up effects to shorten the death runs. I'll probably just have to cut them out entirely.

So the newest WeDoTech podcast is up. Check it out, and make sure to leave comments. Let me know if I did a decent editing job, given that it is the first podcast edited by yours truly. Like I stated previously, the latest podcast had Matt with James and I rather than Dean. I think he did a decent job given what seemed like such short notice. Then again, the podcasts aren't scripted, so it'd be hard to be completely in the dark. We generally just go over what the main topics of discussion will be and just go straight from there. Hopefully there will come a point where every staff member has been on the podcast at least once. So far, James, Dean, and myself are the regulars and we've had Tom and Matt on the show. You can check out the WeDoTech staff here.

In gaming news, apparently there is going to be a remake of the Tecmo football games called Tecmo Bowl: Throwback. I'm not a major football fan but those games were definitely very fun. Tecmo Super Bowl made my list for Top 5 NES Sports Games. I'm glad it's getting a PS3 release as well as an Xbox 360 release. I'll probably get it if it's cheap enough. I wish Konami would do a remake of Blades of Steel. That would be awesome. I also saw gameplay footage of the Fist of the North Star game for the PS3 and Xbox 360. I'm a massive fan of Fist of the North Star so I really hope this game comes to North America. It's being made by Koei and is another installment in the Warriors franchise. The most famous series in that franchise is Dynasty Warriors, which I'm also a pretty big fan of. The game is called Hokuto Musou. Not sure what it will be called if it comes to North America. I know this though, the game looks badass. Also saw the trailer for Bionic Commando Rearmed 2. Needless to say they're still cleaning up the mess from when I exploded with pleasure. I named the original my "game of the year" back in 2008. Needless to say this is also a "first day" pick up.

Now on to the wrestling portion of this entry. Leave now if you hate wrestling, you've been warned. Anyway, I'm going to have to edit this entry later because I haven't watched TNA Impact yet. I have it recorded on my DVR so I'll be watching this when I'm done with this blog. Last night was the Draft Lottery on Monday Night Raw. The show itself was actually pretty good. Lots of wrestling. The only real moment that I raged was when Dolph Ziggler lost to Hornswoggle, a midget. However, he choked the little dwarf out so that made up for that joke of a match. The draft picks themself were pretty one sided though. Monday Night Raw got John Morrison, R-Truth, Edge, and Chris Jericho. Friday Night Smackdown got Kelly Kelly, Big Show, Kofi Kingston, and Christian. Today is the supplemental draft where they pretty much move people but they're generally not important enough to be announced during the actual show. It's pretty obvious though that Smackdown got the short end of the stick losing both Edge and Jericho, who were pretty much the world title scene on Smackdown for the past month. The good thing about this is it leaves room for midcard guys on Smackdown to rise up to a main event level status, such as Kofi Kingston, Christian, and a few others. The only real big stars Smackdown has at the moment are Rey Mysterio, the Undertaker, and arguably CM Punk. I feel bad for any midcarder on Raw though because their main event is absolutely stacked. They now have John Cena, Triple H, Edge, Randy Orton, Sheamus, Chris Jericho, and Batista all capable of being in the main event. That glass ceiling is pretty much cemented there. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Well, I think that's going to do it for this entry. It will either be edited so I can talk about TNA or TNA will get talked about in tomorrow's entry. Feel free to comment and enjoy the playlist. Until next time, take care.

EXTREEEEEEEEME MODE deactivated.

So it's the morning after the pay per view and to be honest I fell asleep during the actual show. Apparently Cena won by tying Batista's legs to the turnbuckle with duct tape. Well, I'm glad Cena's reign is longer than a single month but the ending seems rather silly. Clever, but still silly. I was asleep during the actual match so I can't tell you this based on what I saw. When I actually see it, maybe I'll edit this particular entry and tell you exactly my reaction as I saw it taking place.

Jack Swagger and Randy Orton had a decent match. I didn't expect any technical masterpieces but for what it was it was pretty decent. Swagger won and looked really credible as the champion here. Of course they had the moments for the fans to mark out for Randy Orton but they made Swagger win decisively with the Dr. Bomb (gutwrench powerbomb.) All in all, I enjoyed it.

I fell asleep just as Edge vs. Chris Jericho was starting. Edge won, and from what I hear it was a decent match. I also heard Jericho did a springboard Codebreaker, which I can't wait to actually see how that came out. I look forward to actually seeing this match the chance I get to. Having Edge win was a good way to end the feud, and hopefully it will end there and both guys can move on to do different things. Not to say that I dislike their feud or anything, because I don't, but having 2 matches is better than taking up 5 months worth of ppv space.

Sheamus beat Triple H, but apparently HHH was injured so he had to take the loss as a way to let him go and get that surgery done. The match was pretty boring for a street fight. I mean, I didn't expect bloodshed, but I expected more. Then again, I didn't know until the match itself that HHH would be injured so there you go. At least Sheamus got the rub and looks like a credible heel main eventer.

CM Punk beat Rey Mysterio in a good match. There was outside interference by I think 2 guys who hid under the ring. Punk should have won at Mania as that would have made more sense. Does Rey Mysterio have to join SES? I have no idea. I wait for tonight to find out if that's the case. If he doesn't, then that means their match last night meant absolutely nothing since Punk didn't have to actually get his head shaved.

Beth Phoenix beat Michelle McCool in an Extreme Makeover match. Apparently the match was basically a street fight, but the weapons were items you would find in the home, like an ironing board, brooms, etc. I wonder what the WWE was trying to get at. Either way, I only saw it in bits and pieces since this was the point I started falling asleep. Match was a bit of a clusterfuck from what I remember but meh.

There was a tag team gauntlet which I didn't expect. They didn't put it on the main card, but I shouldn't be surprised really. They've been adding surprise matches a lot as of late. Anyway, this came about when The Miz and Big Show were in the ring ranting and raving about how they were the most AWESOME tag team ever and what not. Teddy Long comes out and he and Miz have some back and forth banter. It eventually turns into a 3 on 1 gauntlet match, where the winning team will get a future title shot at their tag team titles. The first team was John Morrison and R-Truth, who are basically created by the random stable generator that WWE have. In fact, most teams in the WWE are created by that piece of equipment. They should have just called it "Every tag team vs. you guys" because it featured nearly every tag team left in the WWE in the first place, minus The Dudebusters, but no one cares about them. Anyway, John Morrison cost R-Truth and himself the match after getting disqualified by locking Big Show in a submission while touching the ropes. Next we have the team of Mark Henry and MVP, or as a few people I know have been calling them, Team Blackup since that's pretty much all they've done. They lose pretty easily. Finally, we have the Hart Dynasty, lead by none other than Bret Hart himself, who quickly come in, kick Big Show out of the ring, hit The Miz with their rendition of the Hart Attack and get the 3 count. I'm surprised they got the pop that they did, though I'm sure that has more to do with Bret being there more than anything. Either way, not bad for a show opener and a surprise match.

Shad vs. JTG was pretty much a throwaway. Why they didn't give Shad the win I'll never know. He had the big heel turn and was supposed to now seem like a serious guy who wanted to go solo but he lost to his old tag team partner who didn't really do much in the first place. Didn't care for this match.

From what I've seen, the ppv was about above average. I'll have to find a way to watch the matches I missed due to sleeping but that shouldn't be too hard.

Anyway, now that I got the wrestling stuff out of the way, time to move on to other news. Sent the podcast to James today. Turns out I ended up doing all of the editing since Dean was simply too busy to even add the music. Oh well, nothing too difficult. As far as Youtube goes, narrating videos has been an all around pain in the ass as of late. This sore throat of mine is not making things easy, especially since there are times where I absolutely need to cough but I try not to so I can keep going. Of course later when I cough it will be all the more painful because of holding it in so much. Either way, I plan to keep going. The reason I've decided to put so much work out all at once is to make up for a long year's hiatus of not doing anything, so if I have to go through a little inconveniences during the process, I'll manage. I'm lucky enough to have subscribers who are fairly understanding and when things come up they tend to cut me some slack. That being said, I have to work on Part 24 for Pokemon FireRed as well as Part 10 of Donkey Kong. We're actually getting close to the end game for Donkey Kong. We're finishing up the Iceberg today and then it's the Rocky Valley and finally The Tower. I'm at almost halfway through Pokemon FireRed though. I would be halfway through had this been the original Pokemon Red, but FireRed has more stuff added in that the original game didn't have. Either way, I'm more anxious to get Pokemon FireRed done compared to Donkey Kong because there is far more editing that needs to be done in Pokemon than there is in Donkey Kong. Editing yesterday's episode was damn near painful. I might take a different approach when certain areas come up because I'll go insane with the editing if that's the case.

As far as music goes, I've been pretty hooked to a band called The String Cheese Incident as of late. They're a weird mixture of genres. They sometimes have a bit of a jazz/funk vibe but suddenly switch to blue grass or just straight out start jamming. I've really grown to enjoy them. I thank a Youtuber by the username roundthewheel for introducing them to me. Speaking of him, I have the live version of the song Round the Wheel up in the playlist. I suggest checking it out. I suggest getting the album too. The album goes by the same name. Great listen. Also, speaking of the playlist, some people have been telling me some of the songs don't work for them or none of the songs don't work for them. Sometimes you have to give it a few seconds for the song to load, though with that playlist sometimes the songs get taken down off of the site for whatever reason so I'll have to fix that myself one of these days. Just let me know if any particular song is absolutely not working and I'll take care of it. I also added a lot of Savatage and Blind Guardian last night, 2 of my abdsolute most favorite bands ever.

Well, I think that's all I can write about at this point in time. I'm not exactly sure what to ramble on about next so I think I'll stop while I'm ahead. Anyway, until next time, take care.

EXTREEEEEEEEEME drivel.

So I just woke up about 35 minutes ago (6:35 am when I started writing this) after a night's sleep that wasn't that great. My throat is dry and sore, my nose is stuffy, but dammit there's work to be done! Last night James, Matt, and I recorded the new podcast. Dean is normally there but couldn't make it for whatever reason. I know he was busy and will be busy, but I don't remember what his exact excuse was last night. Luckily Matt was there to fill the void. I was also in charge of recording the podcast this week, and probably will be for a while until something happens, which I don't mind, but I'm not exactly sure if the rest of the house will care for that too much. Oh well. Since I recorded it, of course I have to edit it. That ought to be fun. /Sarcasm. Oh well, I offered to do it, so I may as well man up and live to my word. Luckily Dean won't be too busy in his very important and hectic schedule to add the finishing touches once I simply clean it up.

I'm glad I chose to start this blog up. At first I wasn't sure if I would actually do it because quite bluntly I don't have a reputation for keeping up with projects and that's basically what this is. A lot of people have told me to start my own website, and this is more than likely as close as that is getting. I'm cheap and hosting a website costs money that I don't have. I'm trying to keep this blog as interesting as I possibly can however, as you may have noticed there is a music playlist for your enjoyment. I'm sorry if you're not a fan of the music I selected, but oh well, you can't win them all I suppose.

In Youtube and gaming news, I'll have to edit Part 23 of my Pokemon FireRed run, as well as Part 9 of my Donkey Kong run on TheGamesNight. I'm having a lot of fun with that series and it's not as strenuous, editing wise, as Pokemon FireRed. I don't have to cut out battles. I mean, technically I don't have to cut out battles anyway, but of course if I didn't it would be painful for the viewer to watch and the series would take damn near forever. That wouldn't be fun for anyone. Donkey Kong is completely recorded though. All that game needs is the various editing and narrations and it could be uploaded today if I wanted, however, I'm keeping it at 1 episode a day for various reasons. I also saw the trailer for Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 on WeDoTech.net the other day. Ask anyone I talked to about it and they'll tell you I damn near exploded with joy. If you are new to me then you may not recall that I named the original Bionic Commando Rearmed my Game of the Year for 2008 because quite frankly it was an awesome game. 2 looks like it's going to be just as awesome, if not better. You can watch the trailer here.

AND NOW IF I CAN BE EXTREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEME FOR A FUCKING MOMENT! IT'S TIME TO TALK ABOUT EXTREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEME RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway....

So yeah, tonight is a pay per view event called Extreme Rules. As you may know I am a wrestling fan and will be watching this. I'm going to spend the rest of this blog to talk about wrestling, so if you hate it, you can stop reading right about.........................................now.

First thing's first, let me describe the pay per view for those of you who don't pay attention and are insistent to finish reading this blog in it's entirety. Extreme Rules is a pay-per-view in which every match has some kind of special stipulation. The concept was based on the WWE version of ECW, which was resurrected back in 2006, though folded once again earlier this year. Anyway, point is, none of these matches are traditional 1 on 1 or tag team matches. I'm going to read the card off and tell you 2 things. 1. What I want to happen. 2. What I predict will happen. Again, if you're not a wrestling fan, this may seem completely foreign to you, but hell, maybe I'll spark some kind of interest, though I highly doubt it.

World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger vs. Randy Orton (Extreme Rules Match)
What I want to happen: I want Jack Swagger to have a decisive victory over Randy Orton signifying him as a true champion. Last thing we need is to have another weak rising star champion like we did with Sheamus' WWE title run. They made him look weak and had him win under shady circumstances only to have him lose the title 3 months later. This could be a chance for WWE to redeem themselves and finally have a rising star who has a credible title reign. It's bad enough they made Jack Swagger look weak throughout this entire "feud." I put that in quotes because it's based on the fact that Randy Orton already pinned Swagger twice, which is not much of a feud.

What I predict: If WWE were smart, they'd have Swagger win, but I see Orton taking this. It seems that they're trying to get Randy Orton on Smackdown without having to take up a spot on the draft, which is tomorrow night by the way, and this seems like an easy loophole just for that.

WWE Champion John Cena vs. Batista (Last Man Standing Match)
What I want to happen: John Cena needs to retain the title to give the belt consistency. He won the belt last month at Wrestlemania, and a really short reign, in my opinion, devalues the credibility of the belt. Batista has been a lot more entertaining ever since he had his big heel turn last year, but for the sake of consistency, Cena needs to retain.

What I predict: Cena will more than likely retain. Cena is basically the golden boy and I doubt WWE will have him lose the title in just a month.

Edge vs. Chris Jericho (Steel Cage Match)
What I want: To be perfectly honest, I'm fine with this match going either way. If Jericho wins it makes him look like a very credible heel and will give him a lot of heat for beating the "returning hero" Edge. At the same time, logic and reason has me pulling for Edge because Jericho got the win at Wrestlemania, which shocked me actually. Edge winning would be a good way to close the feud and have the two move on to doing something different, which would be a good thing. To be honest, I wouldn't mind another Chris Jericho/Rey Mysterio feud. Their matches last year were top notch and if you can manage to find their matches from last year by all means watch them.

What I predict: Edge will more than likely take this. Jericho won last month, so now it's Edge's turn. Like I already said, this will be a good way to close the feud and to have them move on to other things.

Triple H vs. Sheamus (Street Fight)
What I want: Sheamus needs to win this to gain any credibility he never had when he was actually the champion. The fact of the matter is, as much as I loved the fact that Sheamus was the WWE champion, his reign had absolutely no credibility, and they blatantly made that clear when he not only lost the championship due to Triple H, but had him lose decisively to him at Wrestlemania. Sheamus needs to get the win here to seem like a credible main event level threat.

What I predict: Sheamus wins. This isn't the "biggest event of the year" so I'm sure Triple H will likely let Sheamus take the win this month. Though I very well could be wrong about that.

Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk (If Punk loses, his head gets shaved)
What I want: Well, to be perfectly honest, I'm not sure why this feud is even continuing. Punk should have won back at Wrestlemania, but since that show is the "feel good" show and the general rule is that the faces always win I wasn't surprised that Mysterio won last month. Had Punk won at Wrestlemania it would have been a great excuse to continue the feud within the span of the next month leading to now. The stipulation for that match was had Rey Mysterio lost he would have been forced to join the Straightedge Society. Rey won, and there was no stipulation on Punk. Of course, Punk is challenging Mysterio to a rematch and says he will shave his head if he loses. That's fine and dandy, but if they wanted to do this kind of stipulation and have a second match, having Punk win at Mania would have been a more logical way of getting to this point. Punk absolutely should get the win.

What I predict: Mysterio will more than likely win. If they didn't have Mysterio join SES at Mania, they're not going to have him join now. Punk will more than likely get his head shaved.

Women's Champion Michelle McCool vs. Beth Phoenix (Extreme Makeover Match)
What I want: First off, I don't even know what an "Extreme Makeover Match" is. I'll assume that the winner gives the loser a makeover of their choosing. Sounds stupid to me and it more than likely will be very stupid. This will probably be the "piss break" match. I want Beth Phoenix to crush Michelle McCool. WWE needs a new strong face diva and Beth fits that role perfectly.

What I predict: Beth wins.

JTG vs. Shad Gaspard (Strap Match)
What I want: To be perfectly honest, I don't know why this match even made it to pay-per-view other than the fact that they need 10 minutes to fill. Cryme Time were a tag team that accomplished nothing and were pretty much glorified jobbers. I suppose for the sake of consistency with the rest of this blog though, I suppose I should pick a person to win. I want Shad to win to give him some credibility. He just turned heel and having him beat his old partner would give him some momentum to move on to bigger things.

What I predict: Shad wins.

Well, that's pretty much it for the wrestling stuff, as well as this particular entry in general. I can't believe I actually almost took an hour to write this. It's about 7:30 now and I smell bacon, so I'm probably about to have some breakfast. Anyway, I'm gonna get going now, so until next time, take care.

Howdy

Hey everyone. I go by many names, but for this new little creation of mine I shall simply be referred to as D.

You may remember me from such projects as IronFury on Youtube, or Dave on WeDoTech.net.

I'm gonna keep this short and sweet because this is primarily an introduction. If you don't know me and are reading this for the first time you should check out the links I posted above. More than likely, people who read this or are coming to this blog will know me from those places, or possibly other places as well. There are a few things about me that you need to know. First thing's first, I'm a gamer. I play games, I review games, and I love games. If you got a controller and are in need of a player, I would likely take the time to kick back and go a couple rounds with you. Next thing, I'm a pro wrestling fan. I know what you're thinking and yes, I'm well aware that it is an act, still, I find it entertaining. I've been a fan of pro wrestling for years now and I don't see myself letting go of it any time soon. Finally, I'm a music enthusiast. I love music, and various kinds of music. I won't go into too much detail on it now, but who knows, maybe I'll do an entire blog about my music tastes because I like a lot of different music.

Anyway, this is all that needs to be said for now, as this is just an introduction after all. If you have any questions or comments, by all means, feel free to leave them, and I hope to continue doing these blogs in the future.
